Internship Program: Biometrics


Position Summary: The intern will be provided with practical “hands-on” experience and given an opportunity to build their understanding of the pharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate will be assigned specific projects from ongoing projects in the organization and work under the guidance of a senior statistician to perform data validation, analysis and/or presentations in areas of interest (e.g., methods for handling of missing data, adaptive clinical trials, clinical trial simulation, etc.). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to impact the way we improve patients' outcomes and develop novel medicines. At the conclusion of the internship, interns are expected to give a presentation summarizing some aspect of their work.

Required Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master of Science candidate in mathematics and/or statistics

  • Strong analytical skills in statistics with deep understanding methodologies such as analysis of covariance, regression, survival analysis

  • Strong computing skills with proficiency in SAS or other statistical software like R and Stat Exact

  • Great communication skills with people of different background

  • Passionate about biostatistics and clinical research

  • Anticipated Graduation: December 2019 / May 2020

  • Must present documents showing legal authorization to work in the U.S.
